Description

You are the receptionist of the afterlife for cats. Your job: review their files, uncover the truth, and decide who ascends to heaven.

Every day, new cats arrive with incomplete records, suspicious pasts, or hidden items. Some lie, some confess, and some expect sympathy. It’s up to you to read carefully, cross-check details, and judge their fate.

Features

• Daily Loop: Meet new cats, review their files, hold short talks, then make your decision before the day ends.

• Document Inspection: Drag and examine records, click on keywords, and submit your judgment.

• Narrative Choices: Dialogue from the cats themselves, with personalities ranging from punk rebels to weary office workers.

• Atmosphere: A mix of dark humor, melancholy, and moral tension, inspired by games like Papers, Please and Death and Taxes.

• Spacebar – Skip through dialogue

About the Team

Hell-Cat is an indie-led project created by a five-person team:

Known Issues:

Pressing Enter when transitioning between scenes can cause player to jump ahead.

Some background art is not scaled correctly (implementation) and will not fit all screens sizes.
